Day 1 – An elaborate hoax, courtesy of the deep web?<\/strong><\/p>\n

An old friend had sent me an email and I couldn\u2019t find it. My current email address hadn\u2019t caught anything from them, but this was an old friend and so I had to remind myself\u2013 what email address had I been using in those days? I dutifully tracked back and thought it might have been an email addy I had used over a decade ago\u2013 as I said, this was an old friend.<\/p>\n

After twenty minutes of digging around for my old email addy login details, I found it. I logged in and found it stuffed with thousands of orphaned spam but there it was\u2013 my friend\u2019s catch-up email.<\/p>\n

And something else.<\/p>\n

Addressed to an almost me\u2026 a flipped spelling of my name which had reached me nevertheless. This happens\u2013 my name is common enough and people routinely transpose a couple of the letters (\u2018i\u2019 for ‘e\u2019). It is all it takes\u2013 a random tap and your email is sent flying off to the great data Nothing. There it was\u2026 an email to my internet doppleganger. An email labelled as spam from something called SelectaCorp.
\n\u201cSubject: Prospectus (for final approval)\u201d<\/p>\n

I almost didn\u2019t open it. A Nigerian mining ‘opportunity\u2019 no doubt. But the ‘for final approval\u2019 triggered the click urge. I could say I merely wanted to re-direct the message to the correct recipient, but that wasn\u2019t it. I\u2019m a voyeur\u2013 I admit it. I wanted to see what needed ‘approval.\u2019<\/p>\n

Now of course I wish I hadn\u2019t. Some things can\u2019t be unseen.<\/p>\n

It was the onion domain in the link to the file that should have been my first tip off that this wasn\u2019t some scammer. If you\u2019re looking for gullible investors, you don\u2019t exactly go promoting in the Deep Web and that\u2019s what the onion link pointed to.<\/p>\n

But big companies also use the Deep Web for cloud storage. Big companies also interested in keeping off the radar screen. Their mission critical stuff like confidential financial data. And so after re-checking my anti-virus apps and launching my Tor browser, I took the plunge.<\/p>\n

I clicked on the link.<\/p>\n

Weirdly, after re-routing through proxies, it directed me back to the clearnet. An anonymous file storage site\u2013 the page displayed a tree in a rainforest. So open it was secret.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”993″ img_size=”full” onclick=”custom_link” title=”Selecctacorp Prospectus” link=”http:\/\/www.selectacorp.dk\/Other%20Selectacorp%20files\/Selecta%20Prospectus%202020\/story_html5.html”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]This was a prank\u2013 some grad school kids with a twisted sense of humor.<\/p>\n

A web hoax in bad taste. I remember thinking that. There are so many of them out there, aren\u2019t they? And we\u2019ve become so damned desensitized to just about anything these days. Maybe the accidental discovery wasn\u2019t so accidental after all. But searches didn\u2019t turn up anything. There are a lot of SelectaCorps out there, according to Google.<\/p>\n

Whatever\u2013 after a few days, it slipped my mind. We are so easily distracted these days, aren\u2019t we?[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Day 7- They say there is an app for everything<\/strong><\/p>\n

The economy\u2019s in pieces; the world is on fire. The internet is an escape hatch I suspect we all increasingly use to put distance between ourselves and Out There. It is a destination that multiplies the weirdness and wonder of the \u2018real world\u2019 by magnitudes.<\/p>\n

And, anyway, I was bored. And even though it had been months, I circled back to my defunct email service to see if\u2026 maybe\u2026 those entrepreneurial pranksters had ever followed up with the unknown \u201ci not e\u2019. Had they managed to get some seed money for their satirical venture?<\/p>\n

I dove straight into the spam folder folder of my Xnet freemail account, not expecting much. But there it was\u2026 another message for ‘i not e\u2019.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”1029″ img_size=”full” onclick=”custom_link” title=”Subject: Application Prototype (Alpha version)” link=”http:\/\/www.selectacorp.dk\/Other%20Selectacorp%20files\/SelectaSource%20App%20v2\/story.html”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]So I had been right\u2013 it was obviously a prank. An app for purchasing, well, women. Was it a feminist progressive take down? A parody of hyper capitalism? There was a pomo whiff coming off of the whole thing now\u2013 but at least they were doing it cleverly.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Day 13 – Not cool guys<\/strong><\/p>\n

Brilliant pranks are the ones that walk the line but never cross over into bad taste. I wondered what \u201ci not e\u201d thought about the latest from the SelectaCorp kids. I was checking my freemail now on a regular basis and the emails for \u2018i not e\u2019 from SelectaCorp were growing in frequency.<\/p>\n

The latest ‘channel report\u2019 read like the kind of briefing document a startup would supply a vc investor\u2013 data on the pipeline, inventory, etc.\u2013 all very positive by the way.<\/p>\n

Cute. Except now it was getting offensive. Really offensive. This wasn\u2019t some militant feminist. For the first time, I considered contacting someone.<\/p>\n

Who? No idea. But it\u2013 SelectaCorp\u2013 was no longer funny enough to share, even if I had wanted to. Now I was just embarrassed by even having been in receipt of their corporate \u2018materials\u2019.<\/p>\n

I was only somewhat relieved by considering the obvious\u2013 it was part of some role playing game for frustrated geeks. ‘i not e\u2019 was one of the players and I was getting his email by accident.<\/p>\n

I didn\u2019t like the thought of the kind of players who enjoyed this subject though. Not at all. Even less when I accessed the link for what they called the Science & Technology Directorate Report[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”1009″ img_size=”full” onclick=”custom_link” title=”Selecta Labs Report:” link=”http:\/\/www.selectacorp.dk\/Other%20Selectacorp%20files\/Selecta%20Labs%20Report\/story.html”][vc_column_text]Some of this \u2018science\u2019 was real\u2026 the geeks had done their homework and it was, to their credit, obscenely realistic.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Day 28 – Exec2sec acquisition Guide<\/strong><\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t happening\u2026because it can\u2019t be happening. The latest from SelectaCorp for their mate \u2018i not e\u2019 isn\u2019t disquieting because it is so ridiculous. It is because it is so possible.<\/p>\n

What would motivate any group of gamers to produce something as vile and misogynistic as this?[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”788″ img_size=”full” onclick=”custom_link” title=”Exec2sec acquisition Guide” link=”http:\/\/selectacorp.dk\/wordpress\/fiction\/coporate-exec2sec-guide\/”][vc_column_text]Could this possibly be going on in the corporate world\u2013 in this era of progressive policy and politics? This is not a game. Iwas wrong about that. There\u2019s too much going on here. know things are getting pretty bleak but what Selecta is suggesting\u2014 no, ADVISING, their clients to do with this material\u2026 it is beyond the imagination of some role playing geeks.<\/p>\n

After looking at the latest for I-not-E, I knew I should delete the material I had AND the damned email address. I didn\u2019t want to see any more of their \u2018work\u2019. It was insane\u2013 a feminist nightmare. had to take a shower after reviewing it. It took several attempts. I\u2019d like to think that few\u2013 if ANY\u2013 corporate types would implement this utterly sociopathic battle plan against an unknowing professional career woman. But I know the corporate world far too well to consider that to be a realistic hope. I feared what women in the hands of maniacs like this would have to face on a daily basis.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Day 32 – Naive<\/strong><\/p>\n

I was. I guess I still am.<\/p>\n

I can\u2019t fathom how any decent human being can earn a living\u2026
\n\u2026start a business\u2026

\n\u2026selling other human beings?<\/p>\n

What kind of world are we living in?<\/p>\n

Can money fucking well buy EVERYTHING?<\/p>\n

Doesn\u2019t that just make us commodities????<\/p>\n

No\u2013 I won\u2019t believe that.<\/p>\n

There is no \u2018i not e\u2019\u2013 how could there be? No one could sanction this\u2013 let alone INVEST and MAKE MONEY from it!<\/p>\n

If this IS real\u2013 am I in danger?

I think Arcana is code word for the client\/s. I doubt any of the names used are real\u2013 even if these truly are authentic files.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve tried to search but haven\u2019t found any missing persons notices regarding the Fox family\u2026 but that doesn\u2019t give me much peace.<\/p>\n

One wasn\u2019t enough\u2013 he had to have them all.<\/p>\n

Reflection
\nif, by stupid blind fate, I\u2019ve stumbled into something that\u2019s so transparently wrong then I have to hope that:
\n1.) it is restricted to a truly demented and tiny group of people OR
\n2.) I\u2019m wholly in error and this is a fiction
\nI dearly hope it is the later because if not this \u2018service\u2019 may prosper in an era of decadence and servility.<\/p>\n

I have to scrub, scrub, scrub\u2026 \u2018i not e\u2019 can\u2019t learn I\u2019m privy to their secrets.<\/p>\n

Or it may be me suffering at the psychotic hands of a SelectaCorp client.<\/p>\n

How sad for her.<\/p>\n

How sad for them both\u2026 if he ever finds out.<\/p>\n

Which they won\u2019t ever, ever let happen.<\/p>\n

To have a life that seems untouchable\u2026 but none of us are untouchable is what I\u2019m learning.<\/p>\n

Day 36 – The Future Comes in 1 Flavor<\/strong><\/p>\n

I never knew that. I thought it was a consequence of millions of random events and decisions. But, luckily for us drones, it as all been organized. Sorted. So we don\u2019t have to worry. Not a single random element can be permitted to disrupt the decisions our social betters have already made. I watched the news and realized it was a sitcom instead\u2026<\/p>\n

They took a whole country and made it go away<\/p>\n

I didn\u2019t think you could do that. Congratulations SelectaCorp.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”1018″ img_size=”full” onclick=”custom_link” title=”Operation Burning Spear” link=”http:\/\/www.selectacorp.dk\/Other%20Selectacorp%20files\/Operation%20Burning%20Spear\/story.html”][vc_column_text]We\u2019re all just playing pieces in their games. They move us around the board until they get what they want.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re all quite expendable.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t feel guilty\u2013 SelectaCorp made it fashionable, don\u2019t you know?[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”1038″ img_size=”full”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Trust no one<\/p>\n

It is my great big paranoid take-away, considering how deep Selecta\u2019s reach (and grip) appears to be. LEOs\u2013 at least attractive female ones\u2013 can apparently be abducted\u2013 for a price\u2013 and reduced to whoredom.<\/p>\n

If they can do that to a law enforcement officer\u2013 an AMERICAN LEO\u2013 than what aren\u2019t they willing to do? And if they were to do such a thing\u2026 they have a network to facilitate. Which indicates inside assistance.<\/p>\n

Which means that if you\u2019re one of the elites\u2013 criminal or not\u2013 you can buy what you like. In this case, an American conscientious, committed and pretty female law enforcement office[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”46″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes” onclick=”custom_link” link=”http:\/\/selectacorp.dk\/wordpress\/fiction\/arcana-3-cherry-blossoms\/”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]hope\u2013 for her sake\u2013 he gets bored with her and kills her soon. No one should endure what she\u2019s been made to.<\/p>\n

If they were willing to destroy a socity for fun and profit they wouldn\u2019t hesitate to snuff me like a bug. That\u2019s all I was to beings like this anyway. I had thought their internal comms were fake but now I could only imagine they did have as many officials in their pockets as they claimed. And it seemed that it was more than a bent cop or judge\u2013 powerful people were aware of what SelectaCorp had on offer and were quite happy to do business with them.<\/p>\n

Respectable types. Role-models. And lots of \u2018civilized\u2019 types who applied ethics and morality\u2013 but only to their own class.<\/p>\n

\nDay 41 – ARCANA 15: The Splatter Saga<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mineral rights are small change. SelectaCorp was about to make a real score manipulating the hottest IPO of the century\u2026[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”429″ img_size=”full” onclick=”custom_link” link=”http:\/\/selectacorp.dk\/wordpress\/fiction\/splatter-saga\/”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]As I reviewed the meticulous, detailed, files on them, I began to feel as if I knew these women. They were completely normal. They weren\u2019t even knock-out beauties\u2013 just average, middle class women trying to make their way in the world. Each just trying to scratch out some measure of happiness, love and comfort in a cold, cruel world.<\/p>\n

And they would have made out ok\u2013 if they hadn\u2019t been selected as prizes to be handed out in the never ending corporate casino game\u2026<\/p>\n

I could have warned them but, really, what was the point? I couldn\u2019t have changed their fate any more than I could change the weather.<\/p>\n

I watched them helplessly\u2013 even while \u2018i not e\u2019 probably read with satisfaction\u2013 submit to new lives of submission.<\/p>\n

Got to hand it to thouse selectacorp propeller heads. Their tech works. They were objectified and their personalities purposely warped to meet the requirements of each of their new masters. You could tell they were still there\u2013 underneath all the fake smiles\u2013 but they instinctively knew resistance wasn\u2019t an option.<\/p>\n

I often wonder if they knew just what kind of trap they were in would have helped them cope better. I even felt sorry for the HR woman\u2013 the one who was helping \u2018manage\u2019 the women\u2019s transition into corporate slaves.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile the IPO made many, many billionaires\u2026 it was a Wall St. darling in the eyes of investors\u2013 and the insiders who were in early\u2026 like SelectaCorp.<\/p>\n

The Selectacorp analyst seemed as fascinated by the \u2026depravity of the new media executives as I was. I wondered if \u2018i not e\u2019 ever responded to the reports and what he or she had to say about them. Any of the men seemed pleasant enough on the surface\u2013 but once they had been given unimaginable wealth\u2013 and their new toys\u2013 they seemed to respond with increasing degrees of sadism.<\/p>\n

Over the course of the transition, they seemed to treat the women less as human beings deserving of respect\u2013 and more like things that could be stress-tested for laughs and giggles
\nWith all their wealth, they could have found plenty of women willing to do whatever they wanted them to do\u2013 perform whatever act they insisted on.<\/p>\n

But that\u2019s not the point of having power\u2026 having power means being able to make others do things\u2013 with hope or reward or not\u2013 depending on the status of the underling.<\/p>\n

SelectaCorp had grasped this market and run with it\u2013 and it was now turning over tens and soon hundreds of millions\u2026 they had developed a suite of technology designed to deliver any sadist\u2019s fondest daydream\u2026<\/p>\n

Submission is never enough\u2013 these racist bastards have to grind them into utter debasement and humiliation.<\/p>\n

Someone needs to give them a taste of what that\u2019s like.<\/p>\n

Day 51 – I have been lurking now for months paralyzed and unsure what to do.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The last report was the last. I can\u2019t just sit here while these women are humiliated by billionaires for kicks. I don\u2019t see any edge to SelectaCorp\u2013 any horizon they won\u2019t cross in order to make a buck. They combine 21st century technology and business & accounting practices and tie them to the darkest impulses in the human psyche.<\/p>\n

Even a pawn gets to make a move.<\/p>\n

After downloading the last file, I made a back-up copy and stuck it on one of those anonymous cloud storage services. I\u2019ve also scheduled a release of all those SelectaCorp related materials to every political party, media outlet and government office I could find an email address for. If I don\u2019t cancel the post, it will dump automatically.<\/p>\n

The next (and maybe the last) move<\/p>\n

Dear Doppleganger,<\/p>\n

When you receive this, you\u2019ll realize what\u2019s happened\u2013 and been happening\u2013 with your email, so there\u2019s no point in discussing it. I\u2019d only say that it landed with me as a complete accident\u2013 I in no way was trying to learn anything about what you and your organization are up to. I really wish I had NEVER seen the things you\u2019ve done. Because what you and SelectaCorp represent is simply evil.<\/p>\n

Our names are similar\u2013 it was a simple transposition that dumped your most privileged plans in my digital lap. But our morality is also transposed\u2013 if I could, I\u2019d destroy you.<\/p>\n

But I can\u2019t. And it won\u2019t take you long to find me and kill me. Don\u2019t. If you do, at some future trigger date, ALL details regarding your activities will be made public. Without me to suspend the publication, it will all automatically go live. Your very sensitive clientele wouldn\u2019t like that at all\u2013 would they?<\/p>\n

I knew eventually you\u2019d find me\u2013 thus this offer. Leave me alone and I\u2019ll reciprocate. Mutually assured destruction works when both the mouse and the elephant have nukes.<\/p>\n
